Education and the future of Africa
Mombasa, Kenya
Utange, village far from the luxury resorts that overlook the Indian Ocean coast and in the heart of the rural poor.
Where there's no revenue in tourism, a group of representatives of several Italian airlines has started to make sense of frequent working trips to the African country.
And March of 2007 when it inaugurated the first step in a long and constant cooperation: the construction of the well.
And water is life. Born now in the community the need to revive, along with crops, hope for the future. It is the school project, which will come out in their warehouse that houses the instruments used in the construction of the well. With the help of volunteers built three classes that are now home to 120 children from four to ten years. It is in place, also a project that allows sponsorships, with the contribution of 250 per year, the purchase of school materials and payment of salary of teachers. The story of Utange, its drama is a success.
